We invite Knowledge Keepers, Elders, educators, students, and leaders from communities and educational institutions to join us at the Manitoba Collaborative Indigenous Education Blueprint (MCIEB) Conference on Thursday, March 16, and Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre, 1808 Wellington Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.  MCIEB is also pleased to host a feast on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. to start the event off in a good way.

Keynote speakers will address challenges and successes in the following areas:

• Honouring Indigenous Knowledge: Affirming the rightful place of Indigenous Knowledge in academia.
• Connecting Community: Closing the digital divide in Northern and remote communities.
• Establishing Enduring Pathways: Credit transfer strategies to promote student mobility in the area of Indigenous language proficiency and education.

Following the keynote presentations, participants will move into breakthrough rooms hosted by trained facilitators along with experts in these fields to ask pressing questions and develop innovative solutions.  These conversations will present real opportunities to develop solutions and move forward on systemic change that can advance Indigenous education in Manitoba.  Our goal is to create communities of practice so that participants can continue to work collaboratively toward meaningful change after the conference ends.
